Weekend in Jersey

Well what a busy time I have had! Weekend visiting P!nk, then a weekend moving up to Luton for Sextoys, and just last weekend Mike took me over to Jersey for the weekend for a flying visit.

We had a great time. I lived in Jersey since I was 6, was schooled there and left at 18 to explore the world. I moved back to Jersey at 22 but then left once more after I had my child. I have been living in the UK since 2006 and hadn't been back to Jersey since so was very excited to see what had changed. I also wanted to meet up with some friends again.

Mike bought me some duty free (alcohol! yay lol) and the flight was lovely and smooth on the Friday afternoon. The weather was so hot, we were melting! After a freshen up at the hotel in St Helier we went out for the evening, drinking and dancing. Well, my friend and I were dancing, Mike looked after the handbags, rather amusingly!

Saturday was spent exploring St Aubin, St Brelade and St Ouen. St Ouen boasts the best surfing beach in all Europe so the views were amazing, so picturesque. The evening was amazing, travelling to Gorey and enjoying local fruits de mer in the fishing village of Gorey, under Mont Orgueil castle.

Sunday started off slightly rainy but still caught in the middle of a heatwave so it didnt take long for the day to brighten again. We enjoyed coffees in the morning, in town, then a trip round some exibitions, the marina, and finally a gorgeous Jersey cream tea with all the trimmings at the Champagne Lounge, at The De Vere Grand on the Esplanade, overlooking Elizabeth Castle in the Bay.

I have put all the pictures from my Jersey weekend on Facebook, you should all join me there! www.facebook.com/CaraSutra
