Monday again - the week has begin
Living to work to pay for the fun
Staring blankly at coffee, ignoring the rain
Getting wet in the open so I dont miss the train

But my heart is light when Friday is here
My life is great so why should I fear
Trying to live without questioning why
Not finding the reason so no reason to cry

Tuesday arrives - the week's moving on
I'm waiting for friends but they've already gone
I get to work late but I'm not on their minds
They've set all their targets but they're too hard to find

All is still well so why should I fear

Greetings from Wednesday - the middle of the week
Glancing at the calendar, the outlook is bleak
Twenty days are mine out of every year
But think of the options and I won't shed a tear

Thursday at last - the end is in sight
Some happiness there though the future's not bright
Trying to keep clean in a world full of grime
Talking to friends, Im just passing the time

Temporary amusement - life is a game
Have a drink, have a laugh, find a new flame
The weekend is here so try to forget
You've the rest of the year to face your regrets
